1-29-25 THOUGHTS
We finish the chapter following yesterday’s reading. There is joy and love here from the RECOGNITION of God’s goodness and love. Maybe there’s a jewel here? When we don’t see God, we begin to miss God! I believe Jesus gives us the solution to seeing God in John 12:21-25 “these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, ‘Sir, we wish to see Jesus.’ 22 Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus. 23 And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 ‘He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.’” Ps 89:5 “ The heavens will praise Your wonders, O LORD; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.” Salvation, prosperity, light, goodness and loving kindness come from our God! “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good...”
Ps 118:25-29 O LORD, do save, we beseech You; O LORD, we beseech You, do send prosperity! 26 Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD; We have blessed you from the house of the LORD. 27 The LORD is God, and He has given us light; Bind the festival sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You. 29 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
My Prayer:
Father God, awaken us to the joys of Your goodness. We seek a powerful relationship with You, O God, help us to draw near. May we continually abide in Your presence as we yearn to see You in Your works. You are an Awesome God, gracious, merciful and loving continually. Your loving kindness is everlasting. You are our god, we give thanks. You are our God, we extol You. Blessed be the name of our God.In the name of our Christ, Amen.
